AFA knocked on my studio door in October 2000 needing an exhibition stand for a national insurance conference. As an insurer of 'high risk' individuals, we used a hero image of racehorses bolting down the final straight.
Little did I know that image was a metaphor for the way AFA works!
For over 16 years they have continued to bolt out of the stalls taking me along for the ride – often running to keep up!
AFA has been voted by Insurance Business magazine leading Accident & Sickness underwriting agency two years in a row. Their range of specialist products compete with the large international firms – not bad for a relatively small family-run business.
I'm proud to be part of that growth.
In that time my role has changed from offering a design service to being a marketer/writer and collaborator; helping build AFA into a strong design-led business.
